# rNest

> Block management software for resident directors and RMCs. rNest keeps a block’s compliance and finances in one place: it reads the certificates, invoices and leases you already hold, matches the bank, prepares demands and the next step for each duty, and changes nothing until a director approves it.

- Who it is for: resident directors of residents’ management companies (RMCs) and right to manage companies, and freeholders who run their own block of flats, in England and Wales.
- Price: Free while in private testing.
- Status: in private testing, taking on a small number of blocks at a time.
- Founded by Aidan Lillystone, a resident director in London.
- What it covers: the compliance register (up to 26 duties, from fire risk assessments to Companies House filings and the Building Safety Act), the service charge (budget, demands with the statutory summary of rights, each flat’s account, year-end, the 18-month limit), the bank (statements read and matched), documents (read as they arrive), and an assistant that answers from the block’s documents, records and the legislation with its sources cited.
- How changes happen: assistants read documents and the bank and propose changes; nothing changes until a director approves it, and every change is kept on the record.
- Data: stored in London on AWS; AI processing on AWS Bedrock within the EU; never used to train AI models.
- Not legal advice: it says when it is answering from general knowledge.
